Why "Q"Term?
In the beginning, "Q" is selected after we counted from A to Z because it is easy to pronounce and not in use (which is not true as we found later on).
Now we offer several "new" interpretions, and choose whichever you like,
- Quick Terminal, as officially used
- Qutie Terminal, as we want it to be
- Qt Terminal, according to the well known KDE/Qt vs GNOME/GTK naming convention
How to input Fn keys
Because Fn keys are interrupted by QTerm to provide shortcuts to some menu conmands, they cannot be sent to telnet server. Here is a workaround, First, run QTerm, click the 3rd button,
Then, in the dialog, give the name, e.g. F9 and the code ^[[20~
For other Fn keys, here is a list,
| F1 | F2 | F3 | F4 | F5 | F6 | F7 | F8 | F9 | F10 | F11 | F12 |
| ^[[11~ | ^[[12~ | ^[[13~ | ^[[14~ | ^[[15~ | ^[[17~ | ^[[18~ | ^[[19~ | ^[[20~ | ^[[21~ | ^[[23~ | ^[[24~ |
